2026 Update
The price of eggs has come down! I haven’t updated the photo, yet, but the price of this lunch is now 12 cents lower.
I used a price of $2.00 for 18 eggs, based on Kroger’s price in June of 2026.
I used mayo (frequently on BOGO at Publix), pickle relish, a tomato slice, a $1.99 bag of baby carrots, and on-sale bread at 4¢ a slice. I priced milk at $2.49/gallon (Target).
Stuffed Tomato
If you want to ditch the bread and stuff a tomato, my price for this was $1.63. I priced the tomato at $1.00. If you grow your own, this is only 63¢.
Add carrots and a glass of milk and this lunch is $2.07.
